Your Privacy is Important to me. Please take a few minutes to read my Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy
for
ElizaLynnTaylor.com

I want to thank you very much for visiting my site, www.elizalynntaylor.com. I know that when I'm online I get concerned about my private information and there's just things about giving my information out that scare me. Maybe it's not knowing what the site owners are going to do with my information that worries me the most. So I think that a Privacy Policy is important. I want you to know that I truly value you as a site visitor, and I value your privacy, as well as any information you choose to submit to me about yourself while you're on my site. With all of that said, here's my site's Privacy Policy. I really want you to be familiar with it, so be sure to read it. When I make changes to it, I'll make sure those changes are posted here, so you should check back every time you visit, just to make sure you don't miss any changes or updates.

How Do I Collect Your Information?

I collect your information through the forms pages on my site, for example, my Reviews page is form page. I also collect your email address when you send me messages by email. My site does not, however, use "cookies" to collect any information, nor is your email address "harvested" while you're here.

What Happens To Your Information When You Submit It To Me?

Your messages sent to me by email are collected on the server that hosts my site, and then, when I check my email, it comes into my email program on my personal computer. Information collected through my forms pages are handled a little differently than email messages. When you fill in one of my forms and then click "Submit" the information you filled in is then sent to a file on the server that hosts my site. From there, the server sends an email to me, letting me know that you filled in one of my forms. Within that same email that I receive from the server, I also receive all the information you submitted. Your information is then stored in two places: my personal computer and the server that hosts my site. You should know that my site on the server is password protected, so not just anyone can go to the server and download or view your information. Only me, and my webmaster, can do this, and I have an agreement with my webmaster that none of your private information can be given out for any reason, unless it's given only to me (just in case my personal computer crashes or somehow the information is deleted from my computer).

Exactly Who Will I Share Your Information With?

Only law enforcement officials if I'm requested to. When a law enforcement agency subpoenas your information, I have no choice but to cooperate with them and give them your information. In fact, if you do anything to violate my Website's Terms And Conditions, such as submitting hate crime information, or crime information against a child, I'll voluntarily submit your information to a law enforcement agency. Other than giving it to law enforcement, your information will not be sold, rented, shared, or given to anyone else. Even my publisher, Publish America, or any other publishers I may work with, has no reason to have your information.

What Do I Do With Your Information?

Now email messages, I just keep, as I said before, on my personal computer. Now, this is what I plan to do with your information: When and if I finish and publish my next book, I'll email you so you'll know about it. I might also send you thank-you notices for posting to my site. If I ever decide to publish a newsletter, I'll add you to my mailing list. But in the event that any of these things happen, I'll be sure to include the proper disclaimers within the message I send you, so that you can remove yourself from my mailing list. I do not use an autoresponder to contact you with the exception of subscribing to any newsletter I might publish using an autoresponder to verify your subscription, so any contact you receive from me will be personally from me. What this means is that, you'll be able to really remove yourself from my list (I'll get your notification personally) and I'll respect your wishes should you ever have a wish to be removed.

What You Should Know About Submitting Your Reviews!

First of all, you should know that (1)I will not allow nasty messages that are totally unrelated to my book(s) to be posted, and we all know that there are thoses individuals in cyberspace who would try to get away with this, and (2) I want to have a really good grasp of what's being posted to my site. I will delete anything that is SPAM in nature, profane, threatening, linking to other sites such as product sites, or have nothing to do with the piece being reviewed. I'll only post your first name, your first initial and last name, or your initials, but not your first and last name, where someone viewing my site could look you up and call you or bother you. I will not post your mailing address, nor will I post your email address. There again, it would be out there for all to see, and I don't feel comfortable with that. A review is just that - a review of my work. It is not a way for people to find you and contact you.

What About Fan Mail?

I wouldn't be honest with you if I said I didn't like fan mail. Every author loves to get fan mail. You should send any fan mail directly to my email address. I Want You To Feel Safe! Above all else, I want you to feel safe visiting my site as well as submitting your information to me through my site. If there is any question you might have, but I didn't answer within my Privacy Statement, then you should email your question to me at: elizalynn@elizalynntaylor.com.

Thank you again for visiting. I hope to see you here often.
